ATHENS (December 11, 2013) Nine elementary school students received hospital treatment Wednesday after a school bus struck another bus from behind in Athens.
A spokeswoman at East Texas Medical Center Athens said says all of the children, who range in age from 5 to 10, were treated for their injuries and later discharged.
The accident Wednesday afternoon involved buses carrying about 70 Athens elementary school students.
Hospital spokeswoman Rebecca Berkley said nine students were brought to the hospital by ambulance with injuries ranging from fractures to bumps and bruises.
Sixty other children arrived by bus for precautionary examinations.
