ORANGE (August 28, 2013)—Rashawn Dewayne Morris, 17, was in the Orange County Jail Wednesday without bond, charged with murder in the shooting death of a man found in a burned car.
He was arrested Tuesday night.
His bond is set at $500,000.
Late Monday, police responded to a report of a car fire at the end of a street in Orange and found the victim in the vehicle.
Dominique Marquis Janise, 19, of Orange, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
He had been shot.
Morris also faces simple assault and failure to appear charges, details of which weren’t immediately available.
