PEARLAND (May 14, 2014) A 17-year-old Houston area boy was in custody Wednesday, charged with capital murder in the death of a 16-year-old pregnant former classmate after police determined he was the father of the girl’s unborn twins.
Investigators did not release the name of the juvenile suspect, who was 16 when Arrijana Hill was found dead on March 21 at her home.
An autopsy showed that she was stabbed and strangled.
Police did not immediately release a possible motive.
DNA analysis determined paternity of the unborn twins.
Lt. Patrick Savage says lab results were needed to build a strong case.
Both teenagers attended Dawson High School in Pearland but the boy transferred in late March to Pasadena Memorial High School, where he was arrested Tuesday.
