DALLAS (April 8, 2013)--The parents of a Texas teenager who died in a car crash as he rushed home to meet his curfew say they wish he’d simply called to tell them he was late.
Ricardo and Priscilla Gonzalez told Dallas television station WFAA that their son, Fabian, 18, lost control of his SUV, which crashed a few miles from their Dallas home early Saturday morning, just after midnight.
Fabian Gonzalez was an honor student who had earned a four-year college scholarship.
Police say Gonzalez lost control of his Chevy Tahoe in a curve.
The SUV collided with a car in the oncoming lanes.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
