Texas Teen Shot After His Car Crashes Into Residential Fence

WESLACO (May 25, 2014) A teenager was airlifted to a hospital after a resident shot him following an accident in which the teen’s car crashed into a fence surrounding a home in the border town of Weslaco, authorities said.

After the crash someone emerged from the house and fired on the 18-year-old driver, Hidalgo County sheriff's spokesman JP Rodriguez said.

One witness told KRGV-TV that she heard two gunshots.

The name of the teenager was not released and information about his condition was not available.

No arrests were made immediately after the incident late Friday night but authorities say they’ve identified a possible suspect.
