Texas Teenager Accused Of Killing Sleeping Father With Ax

SAN ANTONIO (November 23, 2012)--A San Antonio teenager was in custody Friday after police say his sleeping father was attacked with an ax and killed.

Police say Marshall Lee Giles died of his injuries hours after the attack late Wednesday night.

Police say Giles' 19-year-old son, who’s also named Marshall Lee Giles, was found hiding in the crawlspace under his father's home in downtown San Antonio with a "hatchet with a long handle."

The younger Giles originally was charged with aggravated assault and his bond was set at $20,000, but authorities expect to upgrade the charge to murder.

The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
