Texas Teenager Hurt In Fall From 6th-Floor Hotel Window

LINCOLN, Neb. (June 29, 2014) An 18-year-old woman from Texas suffered life-threatening injuries in a fall from a sixth-floor window of a hotel in Lincoln, Neb.

The teenager, whose name wasn’t immediately released, fell early Sunday morning at the Embassy suites in downtown Lincoln, police Capt. Martin Fehringer said.

The woman landed on a second-floor balcony roughly 40 feet below the window from which she fell.

Fehringer says he doesn't know what caused the fall.

The woman was in critical condition Sunday morning.

It wasn't immediately clear if the woman was in Lincoln to attend last week's Thespian Festival for high school students on the nearby University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
