Texas Traffic Stop Yields Nearly $170K In Suspected Drug Money

BEASLEY (May 17, 2014) Deputies discovered a box filled with nearly $170,000 in drug money after making a traffic stop in Fort Bend County.

Narcotics task force officers pulled over a passenger vehicle for a traffic violation on U.S. 59 near Beasley, the sheriff’s office said Friday.

A drug-sniffing dog helped locate the cash, which was in a box in the back of the vehicle.

Isidro Sosa, 60, of Olmito was arrested during the stop Monday, charged with money laundering and then freed Tuesday on $15,000 bond.
