AMARILLO (May 10, 2013)--Amarillo truck driver Ezequiel Garcia, who suffered severe burns in a fiery crash in March that killed five teenagers, has died.
Garcia died Thursday morning at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Garcia was driving a tanker truck loaded with fuel on March 10 when a Chevrolet Cruze driven by Jacob Paul Stipe, 16, ran a stop sign just northeast of Dumas.
The tanker struck the car, killing Stipe and his passengers Derrek Lee Hager, 17; Christopher Lee Moore, 17; October Dawn Roys, 17; and her sister Elizabeth Kay Roys, 15.
