Texas Woman, Child Die In Mobile Home Fire

LUBBOCK (March 6, 2013)—A mobile home fire early Wednesday in West Texas left two people dead.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office said the victims are believed to be a 58-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child.

Lt. Bryan Taylor said investigators are waiting for the county medical examiner's office to identify the two.

Firefighters responded at around 3 a.m. Wednesday to the Fay Ben Mobile Home Park just south of Shallowater, just outside of Lubbock.

They found the mobile home and a nearby vehicle engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
