Texas Woman Made Frantic 911 Call Before Ex-Husband Killed Her

DESOTO (March 21, 2013)--Catina Lareese Murphy, 37, of DeSoto, pleaded for help in a 911 call as her ex-husband broke into the house and then killed her and himself.

Murphy was killed Tuesday night.

Her former husband used to be a police officer in Arlington and with the Cedar Hill Independent School District.

Police have said they believed the shootings happened on the day the couple's divorce became final.

The woman can be heard saying "send somebody right now" to a dispatcher as Andre Murphy, 40, arrives at her mother's home and the call disconnects.

DeSoto police arrived minutes later and found the bodies.

The couple's 7-year-old daughter wasn't home at the time of the shooting.
