HOUSTON (August 15, 2014) Teddy Bear Paradise, 56, has admitted to mailing a letter that threatened the life of President Barack Obama, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced Friday in Houston.
She used to be known as Denise O’Neal.
She admitted to sending a letter addressed to Mr. Obama that said she was traveling to Washington, D.C. to kill him, prosecutors said.
She later told two Secret Service agents of her intention and said that if she couldn't commit the act herself, she would hire someone else to do it, prosecutors said.
Paradise will remain in custody until her November sentencing.
She could be sentenced to as much as five years in prison.
