FORT WORTH (October 18, 2013)—Brittanie S. Brattain, 22, has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for forcing a 15-year-old girl into prostitution and advertising the girl’s services online in in a sex trafficking case.
A statement Friday from the U.S. attorney's office in Fort Worth says said Brattain was sentenced after a guilty plea to a single count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor.
Her co-defendant, Deundrea R. Miller, 27, pleaded guilty to the same charge and is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 12.
Investigators say Miller, who's from Fort Worth, and Brattain met the victim last fall, took photos of her in her underwear and advertised her online.
The girl was hired out as a prostitute for five months before she escaped.
