Texas Woman Settles $182,000 In Unpaid Tolls

FORT WORTH (November 4, 2012)—Amber Young of Dallas, who gained notoriety for amassing the most violations on North Texas' toll roads, has agreed to settle her account.

A spokesman for the North Texas Tollway Authority told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Young will pay $28,684 to settle her $182,598 tab.

The amount covers $8,516 in unpaid tolls as well as fees and administrative costs.

Michael Rey told the newspaper that Young agreed to make an initial payment of $5,000 and then pay $250 in monthly installments.

If she defaults, she will owe the full amount.

The authority has used an all-electronic system since 2010.
