DALLAS (January 13, 2013)--A Dallas man was jailed Sunday after police found his wife stabbed to death in the bedroom of the couple’s apartment.
The couple’s two young children were in their apartment, as well, but weren’t injured.
A police affidavit says Ismael Vergara, 26, was treated at a hospital for what were determined to be self-inflicted stab wounds to his chest.
He’s charged in the death of his wife, Breauna Hill, 22.
The affidavit says police were called Friday afternoon by neighbors reporting sounds of a domestic disturbance.
They arrived to find a blood stained Vergara with his and Hill's two toddlers.
Vergara directed the officers to a back bedroom, where Hill's body was found.
The affidavit says Vergara thought his wife had been unfaithful to him.
