FORT WORTH (December 31, 2013) Nadia Douglas, 33, was held in the Mansfield Jail Monday in lieu of $500,000 bond, charged in connection with the stabbing of her 3-year-old son.
Douglas was arrested Saturday after telling officers she stabbed the boy, Fort Worth police said.
Officers found her alone with the child in an apartment.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kelly Peel said the child was bleeding heavily when officers arrived.
The boy was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center.
Texas Child Protective Services will investigate, spokeswoman Marissa Gonzales said.
CPS did not have any previous complaints on Douglas, she said.
