TAOS, N.M. (July 8, 2012)—A man and a woman from Texas were injured when their small plane crashed Saturday in the mountains west of Taos, N.M., state police said.
Police say the aircraft's two occupants, James Thompson, 57, and Angela Thompson, 42, of Dallas, were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The two have a summer home in the area.
The airplane departed a Taos airport and was flying over trail heads when it went down.
Police say the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the crash, which left the plane with heavy damage.
