Texas Preacher Pleads Guilty To Improper Secret Photography

GRANBURY (January 30, 2012)—Matthew Porter, 34, a former minister at a North Texas church, who also served as a nursing home chaplain, pleaded guilty Monday to secretly photographing people undressing and possessing child pornography.

Porter pleaded guilty in Granbury to eight counts of improper photography and seven counts of possession of child pornography just before jury selection began for his trial Monday.

Hood County District Attorney Rob Christian told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram he had at least 10 victims prepared to testify.

State District Judge Ralph Walton will hear testimony on Porter's punishment, starting Tuesday.

He could get as much as 10 years in prison on each child pornography count and two years in prison on each improper photography count.
