KILLEEN (January 10, 2013)--Police are investigating two break-ins that happened sometime overnight Tuesday at the Rivers of Living Waters Church on North 8th Street in Killeen.

The first break-in was discovered Wednesday morning at the church offices.

A safe was taken and windows were damaged.

Later Wednesday morning, as church staff members made their way through the nearly 60,000-square-foot church complex, they discovered thieves also broke into a studio.

The Rev. Darryl Shaw said an estimated $40,000 worth of audio equipment was taken from the studio.

Security cameras that were set up inside the studio recorded images of the thieves.

On Thursday Killeen Police investigators were at the church watching the security footage.

They’ve already checked for fingerprints inside the studio.

The security footage shows two people inside the studio with flashlights sometime overnight Tuesday.

Shaw said the thieves didn't steal anything from the sanctuary, which means services won't be interrupted.

He said he thinks these thieves knew what they were looking for and went straight to the studio first.

An alarm went off when the offices were broken into, and now the church staff is looking at adding more security cameras.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the break in to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477.)
