AUSTIN (April 24, 2014) An investigation into nearly a dozen attempted burglaries in Austin led to the arrest of three youths, including a 10-year-old suspect.
The oldest of the three, Erik Marciel, 17, was held Thursday in lieu of $7,500 bond on two counts of attempted burglary of a habitation, according to Travis County Jail records.
Austin police say the 10-year-old and a 13-year-old were also detained, but further details on the minors weren't immediately available.
Investigators say they’re looking for a fourth suspect after reports of home break-ins on April 10.
Police responded after a neighbor reported that four people were acting suspiciously near a home, and were trying to open the windows.
An affidavit says one minor is suspected in at least 11 burglaries.
