Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Saturday, rain stays with us, but should taper off by Sunday, the drier of the two days.
AUSTIN (June 30, 2014) No one stepped forward before the 6 p.m. deadline Monday to claim the $12 million jackpot from the Jan. 1 Lotto Texas drawing, so the money goes to the Foundation School Fund.
The $12 million winning ticket was sold at a Shell Station in League City, which received a bonus check for more than $121,000 in March.
But the person who bought it didn’t come forward to claim the jackpot within the required 180 days.
It’s not the first time that’s happened.
Since 1995, more than $837 million in unclaimed Texas lottery prizes have reverted to the state.
