BRUCEVILLE-EDDY (December 12, 2012)--A large fiberglass container loaded on a semi-trailer was too high to clear a bridge Wednesday on Interstate 35 in Bruceville-Eddy and the resulting crash left the cylinder on the roadway.

By late afternoon, northbound traffic was backed up for seven miles or more because of the accident.

No injuries were reported in the noontime accident, but traffic was be re-routed onto an access road around the crash site while crews cleared the debris.

The State Highway 107 bridge that crosses Interstate 35 at mile marker 315 was closed while Texas Department of Transportation workers made repairs.
