WACO (December 19, 2012)—No one was injured and damages were minor after a passing train brushed the front end of a Waco ISD school bus that stalled Wednesday afternoon at a local crossing.

The driver was approaching the crossing at the intersection of South 16th Street and Mary Avenue when the bus, with one student board, stalled, Waco ISD spokesman Dale Caffey said.

As the driver tried to restart the bus, the crossing lights began to flash and the crossing arms dropped, landing on top of the bus, Caffey said.

The driver got the student off the bus before the train swiped the front of the bus, causing minor damage, Caffey said.
