Transformer Failure Leaves Parts Of Local Campus In The Dark

WACO (April 23, 2014) A transformer failure left parts of the Baylor University campus without power for about 90 minutes Wednesday morning.

Service was restored at around 9:30 a.m.Wednesday.

The outage affected all or portions of a number of buildings including Allen, Dawson, Alexander, Memorial, Collins, Neill Morris, Armstrong Browning, Carroll Library, Draper, Burleson, Old Main, Carroll Science, Speight Garage, Cashion, Hankamer, Pat Neff, Bill Daniel Student Center (SUB) and McMullen.

The outage also meant loss of hot water in Pat Neff, Draper, Alexander, Memorial, Allen and Dawson.

Campus-wide alerts were sent out Wednesday morning advising of the outage.
