TEMPLE (November 1, 2012)--Northbound Interstate 35 was blocked Thursday in Temple after an 18-wheeler overturned.

Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said the truck was hauling large sections of pipe which were strewn across all the northbound lanes of traffic.

The driver was not injured, Wilcox said, and no other vehicles were involved.

Wilcox said it likely would take an hour to clear the debris and get traffic moving at a regular pace.

Northbound traffic was being diverted at the Adams Avenue exit northbound.

Southbound traffic was not affected, he said.

The driver, who police said was a 55 year old Mississippi man, was not injured.
