PLEASANTON (June 17, 2014) No serious injuries were reported after a twin-engine airplane crash-landed on a highway near Pleasanton Municipal Airport, the Texas Department of Public Safety says.
The chartered plane crashed Monday night while the pilot tried to land at the airport.
The six people aboard escaped with minor injuries, authorities said.
The Cessna 414 was on a charter flight from Addison Airport near Dallas to Pleasanton.
The pilot attempted to land, failed and then went around to try again to touch down, FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said Tuesday.
The plane ended up on its belly in a grassy area along Farm-to-Market Road 3350 near the runway.
