Car Slams Into SUV, Nearby Home’s AC Unit; Driver Taken To Local Hospital

WACO (December 15, 2012)--Two cars were involved in an accident after the driver of one of the cars suffered a medical episode.

According to witnesses, a blue Chevy was stopped in the center lane near the 5900 block of Sanger Avenue forcing other drivers to maneuver around the stopped vehicle.

Three people in a Ford Escape stopped to check on the driver of the Chevy who appeared to be having a medical episode.

At the same time, the driver of the Chevy accidentally stepped on the accelerator, which sent the ca into the side of the escape.

A passenger who remained in the Escape was able to get out before the collision.

The Chevy the continued forward until it struck the air conditioning unit of a nearby house.

The driver of the Chevy was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

No one else was injured.
