Two Charged After Body Wrapped In Plastic Found In Mobile Home

BACLIFF (January 22, 2013)--Two people were in custody Tuesday as authorities in Galveston County try to identify a man whose body was found wrapped in plastic in a mobile home.

The Galveston County Sheriff's Office said autopsy results are pending on the victim who evidently died during some type of altercation.

The sheriff's office said a man and a woman were charged with evidence tampering and were jailed on immigration holds.

Kemah police asked deputies for help Sunday after the two suspects told officers about a body in the home in Bacliff, about 30 miles southeast of Houston.

Deputies found the wrapped body.

Investigators said the residence had signs that someone tried to clean up the suspected crime scene.

Officials believe the male suspect owns the mobile home.
