WACO (March 20, 2014) Waco police detectives arrested a man and a woman at the New Road Inn Wednesday evening, in connection with a China Spring home burglary, Sgt. Patrick Swanton said.

Cory Lucas, 18, and Whitlee Lindsey, 23, were taken to the McLennan County Jail and were charged with one count of burglary of a habitation.

The China Spring home sits in the 5600 block of Rosalie Dr.

It was burglarized early in March; electronics and a laptop were taken from the home.

Neighbors say at least 4 homes in the area have been burglarized.

They say they were told to be on the lookout for a woman who was going door-to-door asking for help because her car had broken down.

They say most of the burglaries were happening during the middle of the day, and that police told them the woman was likely going door-to-door to case the area.

Police found stolen property from the Rosalie Dr. burglary inside a hotel room where they made the arrests.

According to Swanton, police also found some jewelry reported stolen from another burglary, as well as a laptop reported stolen from a car burglary.

Swanton says Lucas and Lindsey could face additional charges for other burglaries in the area.
