Two Charged In Death Of Texas Businessman Found In Burning SUV

FORT WORTH (November 9, 2012)--Two men have been charged in the murder of a North Texas man who last summer reported that a teenager was dead on his doorstep after a failed robbery.

Dean Allen Walden and Joseph Robert Dodson were charged with capital murder in the death of Fort Worth businessman Robert Excell Dodson II, whose body was found on Oct. 28 in a burning SUV near Godley, The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office says the Dodsons are not related.

Joseph Dodson was held Friday without bond.

Walden was jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond.

On June 28, Robert Dodson discovered Claudia Hidic, 17, dead of a gunshot wound outside his home.

Two men who authorities think were with her been indicted in her death.
