CORPUS CHRISTI (January 5, 2014) Two teenagers were in the Comal County Jail Sunday, charged with murder in the death of a 69-year-old man whose body was found at his home in Canyon Lake.
Austin Byrom, 19, and Skyler Burghart, 18, were arrested Friday night in Corpus Christi, nearly 200 miles away.
Sheriff's Capt. Mark Reynolds says the teens are in a relationship, but declined to comment on any relationship between the teens and the victim, James Carrol Spencer.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of Spencer’s death.
He was found dead on New Year’s Day.
Byrom and Burghart were ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bonds.
