COLLEGE STATION (November 13, 2012)—If all goes according to plan, the annual Texas A&M Student Bonfire will be burning just after dark Friday night in Robertson County to serve as a rally for students the day before the Aggies play Missouri.

The burn will begin around 8 p.m. Friday at the site off of Old Hearne Road.

Admission is charged for anyone entering the grounds after 4 p.m.

The event is organized by student volunteers to continue a tradition that ended after the tragic collapse of the log pile for the on-campus fire in November 2009.

The stack for the bonfire collapsed early in the morning on Nov. 18, 1999, killing 12 Aggies and leaving 27 others injured, some seriously.
