LAMPASAS (July 4, 2012)—A reward of as much as $3,500 is offered for information leading to the arrest of the vandals who damaged several pieces of art at the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden in June in Lampasas.
"The piece sustaining the worst injury was ‘Lost in Wisconsin’ by artist Nic Noblique,” a spokesperson for the nonprofit Lampasas Association for the Arts said.
The artist recently donated the $25,000 work to the association as a memorial to Stephanie Leigh Gradel, daughter of prominent Lampasas residents Robert and Robin Gradel, the spokesperson said.
Officials haven’t determined whether the work can be repaired.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Lampasas Police Department at (512) 556-3644.
The Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden is in Campbell Park at 501 E. North Avenue.
