SAN SABA (August 4, 2014) San Saba police Monday identified a man who was struck and killed Saturday night after he stepped into the path of an oncoming car as Juan Rodriguez Medina, 25.
Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which happened at around 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of North High Street in San Saba.
Witnesses told officers that “Medina had been consuming alcohol prior to the accident and was not looking when he walked out in the roadway” in front of a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Goldthwaite man.
The accident remains under investigation pending the completion of toxicology tests on blood samples taken from both the victim and the driver, police said Monday.
