Victim Wounded In Early Friday Morning Shooting

KILLEEN (September 7, 2012)—A man was shot early Friday morning outside a Killeen nightclub and police were looking for the gunman.

Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said at about 12:35 a.m. Friday officers on patrol heard shots fired in the area of West Elms Road and South Fort Hood Street.

Officers determined the shots were coming from a location in the 600 block of West Elms Road and began to investigate.

Officers quickly found a 27-year-old man in the rear parking lot of the Spurs Club who had suffered a single gunshot wound.

The victim was taken by ambulance to
Scott and white hospital with what Smith called non-life threatening injuries.

Smith said police have no suspects and no leads in this shooting.
