KILLEEN (July 19, 2012)—Killeen police Thursday identified a man who was found shot to death early Tuesday morning outside of a local residence as Ricky Dewayne Brandon, 29, of Waco.
Officers who responded at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday to a report of gunfire in the 1400 block of East Avenue G in Killeen found Brandon lying dead outside near the front porch of a home at 1404 East Ave. G.
He had been shot in the chest, police said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was ordered.
Police are still looking for the gunman and investigators are asking anyone with information about the deadly shooting to call Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477.
