Victim Of Deadly I-35 Crash Identified

WACO (June 19, 2012)--The 43-year-old man who was killed when his van crashed into an 18-wheeler late Sunday night on Interstate 35 in Waco was identified Tuesday as Raunel Francisco Macedo of Davenport, Fla.

Waco police said the accident occurred at around 10:50 p.m. Sunday.

Macedo’s van struck the rear of the 18-wheeler on the northbound Interstate 35 frontage road near Collin Street Bakery in Waco.

Justice of the Peace Jean Laster Boone pronounced Macedo dead at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
