Local Man Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run

WACO (January 12, 2013)-Police officers responded to a hit-and-run at 11 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 84 and Speegleville Road.

According to police, a motorcycle was traveling north on Old Lorena Road, approaching Highway 84 when a pick-up truck pulling a cattle trailer, traveling west on Highway 84, ran a red light.

The motorcycle then crashed into the pick-up.

The crash critically injured the 31-year-old driver of the motorcycle.

The driver of the pick-up failed to stop and render aid at the scene.

A Woodway Police Officer was able to broadcast a description of the truck which was found by Gatesville Police in their city.

According to police, evidence of the crash was recovered from the truck and trailer.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center by ambulance and was listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made pending the outcome of the investigation.
