Weather A Factor In Deadly Area Highway Crash

A 26-year-old Central Texas man died Monday after he lost control of his car on a highway curve during a rainstorm and the vehicle veered into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler.

CHILTON (October 14, 2013)—Christopher Miller, 26, of McGregor, died Monday after he lost control of his car on a highway curve during a rainstorm and the vehicle veered into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler, Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson said.

The accident happened at around 12:40 p.m. Monday on Texas Business 7 just east of U.S. 77 in Chilton.

Miller was driving west on Business 7 when he lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet Impala.

He was ejected when the 18-wheeler struck the car, Wilson said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Wilson said.
