PALO PINTO (May 15, 2013)--A wildfire at Possum Kingdom Lake, an area that fires devastated in 2011, was mostly contained Wednesday and has caused no damage to structures.
Texas A&M Forest Service spokesman Nick Harrison said Wednesday that the fire at Possum Kingdom Lake was 80 percent contained.
Residents of about 30 houses that were evacuated as a precaution were allowed back into their homes Tuesday night.
Harrison says nobody was injured in the wildfire, which broke out Monday afternoon and spread to more than 40 acres.
Rain is possible in the area Wednesday, forecasters said.
The Possum King Lake area, about 75 miles west of Fort Worth, lost dozens of homes to wildfires during the 2011 drought.
