Woman Dies In Shooting Outside Texas Bar

FORT WORTH (February 17, 2014) A woman was killed and four men were wounded in a shooting Sunday night outside a bar in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Police were trying Monday to determine a motive for the shootings and whether the person who opened fire is among the injured.

Officers were sent to the entertainment district at around 9 p.m. Sunday in response to reports of gunfire at Northside Outlaw Bar.

Sylvia Salazar, 56, of Fort Worth was killed in the shooting.

Police spokeswoman Sharron Neal told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Salazar was a bystander who was hit by a stray bullet.

Capt. Scott Conn described the injured victims’ conditions as ranging from stable to critical.
