BELL COUNTY (July 20, 2013) -- Bell County emergency crews recovered the body of Judith K. Muntner, 58, of Florence, Saturday afternoon from the Lampasas River.
Details were limited, however according to Donnie Adams with the Bell County Sheriff's Office, the 911 call came in around 3:00p.m. Saturday.
Deputies responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle on Gravel Crossing Road at the Lampasas River south of Killeen.
Fishermen reported they found a pickup truck near the river, articles of clothing on the bank of the river, and a dog running around with a leash still attached.
After a search, a body was recovered shortly before 7 p.m.
Officials on scene reported it appears the woman drowned.
Muntner was pronounced dead by Bell County JP Ted Duffield.
An autopsy has been ordered.
The Bell County Sheriff's Office and Texas Game Wardens are investigating.
