TEAGUE (November 8, 2012)--A Kirvin woman flown to Scott & White Hospital in Temple after an automobile-train crash in Teague was in critical condition Thursday, a relative said.

Sheri Jackson, also known as Sheri Cawthorne, lost both of her legs and suffered other serious injuries in the accident, according to her aunt, Marilyn Finley.

Finley said Thursday is Jackson's birthday.

A spokeswoman for the Freestone County Sheriff's Office said Teague police investigated the accident but Teague’s police chief declined to release any information about the accident Thursday, including the place where it happened and the time, citing an ongoing investigation.
