Woman, Infant Die When Car Plunges Into Texas Pond

FORT WORTH (November 16, 2012)--A woman and her year-old daughter died after a traffic collision sent their car into a North Texas pond.

Fort Worth police say the accident happened Thursday night.

The woman was able to call 911 as the car sank in the residential pond, police said.

The two victims were submerged for several minutes, police said.

Emergency personnel transported the woman and her daughter to hospitals where both were pronounced dead.

Fort Worth police say names of the mother and child were not immediately released.

Further details were not immediately available.
