WACO (October 9, 2012)--A night at the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo turned into a night at the hospital for a woman who was hit by a car Monday night.

The eastbound car struck Lucy Jimenez, 81, of Waco, as she tried to cross Bosque Boulevard at around 8 p.m. Monday, police said.

She suffered what police described as non-incapacitating injuries.

The driver, who said he didn’t see Jimenez because it was dark, was not cited, police said Tuesday.

Jimenez was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
