SALADO (October 10, 2012)—A 70-year-old woman who was trapped in the wreckage of her pickup after the truck rolled Wednesday morning on a rural road west of Salado was taken to a local hospital.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the woman from the wreckage of the truck after the accident, which happened at around 9 a.m. Wednesday on Crows Ranch Road.

Authorities said she took a curve in the road too fast and over-corrected, which caused the pickup to roll four times before coming to rest.

She sustained a gash to the head and other injuries that authorities described as minor.
