LORENA (January 18, 2013)—A 25-year-old woman, a 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl were injured Friday afternoon in a collision between the car in which they were riding and a truck on northbound Interstate 35 in Lorena.

The accident happened at around 1:15 p.m. Friday.

Lorena police Chief Tom Dickson said the two vehicles collided in a construction zone where large concrete barriers are in place on both sides of the highway.

The woman and two children were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
