Woman Found Dead In Street Wrapped In Sheet; Texas Trucker Charged

LUBBOCK (February 1, 2012)—Trucker Kenneth Ray Dunn, 54, of San Antonio, was in custody Wednesday, charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was found wrapped in a sheet on a Lubbock street.

Dunn was arrested in the Dallas suburb of Lancaster.

Police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said he was charged with murder in the death last week of Stephanie Williams, 43.

Stewart said investigators learned Williams was from the Dallas area and that she evidently left the area with a man in an 18-wheeler on Jan. 25, headed for Lubbock.

Stewart says Dunn made a delivery in Lubbock on Jan. 25, the same day that Williams' body was found.

Dunn was held in Dallas County jail without bond awaiting transfer to Lubbock.
