WACO (March 16, 2011)—A mid-morning collision between a pickup truck and a dump truck Wednesday sent one woman to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center with what police said were minor injuries.

The accident happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and East Herring Avenue in Waco.

The woman was driving her pickup east on Herring and the dump truck was headed south on MLK when the pickup collided with the dump truck on the passenger side and then struck a light pole at the intersection, police said.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.

The drivers’ names weren’t immediately released.
