Woman Struck By Car At Local Intersection Identified

WACO (October 3, 2011)—Police Monday identified the 23-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle Saturday night as she crossed a Waco street as Anqunette Lache Parham.

A 1995 Honda Accord at around 8:35 p.m. struck Parham Saturday as she crossed the street at the intersection of South 11th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Waco.

The 18-year-old woman who was driving the car wasn’t hurt.

Parham was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

Her injuries were serious, but not life threatening, police said.

The driver of the car wasn’t cited.

Police said Monday Parham failed to yield right of way to the oncoming vehicle.
